6-Week Creative Design & Home Decor Class (Prerequisite: Interior Design Studio) The Homeschool Hangar is excited to partner with MarniStar Creative Studio to offer a 6-week Creative Design & Home Decor class. In this hands-on course, students will explore the exciting world of home decor while learning how designers use color, texture, pattern, and balance to create beautiful, functional living spaces. Students will design and create a variety of decorative projects while developing artistic creativity, craftsmanship, and design confidence. Students will discover how fabrics, paint, natural materials, seasonal accents, and decorative accessories work together to transform a room. Students will create a coordinated home decor collection featuring several handcrafted decorative items designed around a chosen color palette or decorating theme. Projects may include decorative pillows, fabric baskets, wall art, tabletop decor, centerpieces, painted signs, seasonal decorations, or other creative accessories. Students are introduced to careers in interior decorating, interior design, home staging, visual merchandising, furniture design, floral design, event decorating, retail display, product design, and creative entrepreneurship.
